6 FOODS YOU SHOULDN'T REFRIGERATE

When it comes to storing food, there is always conflicting advice. we like to treat the fridge as a safe-haven for all things food and drink, You might have grown up seeing your mum put all kinds of in the fridge - only to be told by a friend or YouTube  years later that that's not right. Putting these foods into the fridge won’t cause you any harm; however, it can certainly cause a nuisance for your palate as textures and tastes become ruined to avoid removing the taste from your food, here are some seven foods you shouldn’t put into the fridge. Let me know if you agree or disagree with the advice given

No.1 Bread
Breads don’t tend to do that well being stored in the fridge .Bread dries out and goes stale much more quickly in the fridge, which isn't what you want when you bite into your lunchtime sandwich.
Try storing it in a cool, dry place. A bread bin or bread bags would be a good start.

No.2 Tomatoes
The biggest problem with storing tomatoes in the fridge is that the cold temperature begins to play havoc, altering the taste and texture
Refrigerating tomatoes actually damages the membrane inside the fruit
Have u ever had a salad with that tomato that tasted bit watery and icy, Chances are those tomatoes have been in cold storage for a while.
There’s no need refrigerating tomatoes if u will use it in a few days. Leave it on the counter and it will develop more flavor over that few days.

No.3 Onions
Apparently onions do best in dry, well-ventilated areas. What's more, if they're in the fridge they could taint the taste of your other groceries. Remember to keep them in a dark place or they'll start sprouting

No.4 Potatoes
Potatoes are the one food you should never, ever store in the fridge .the cold temperature generally starts to break down the starch within potatoes; therefore, refrigerating it will leave you with a sweet or gritty potato, which rarely tastes good at this stage no matter what you do with it.

No.5 Avocado
There's nothing more annoying and depressing than an unripe avocado. Well, keeping it in the fridge isn't going to help. Apparently the cool temperature hinders the ripening process. Avocado is from tropical climates and their cells have no natural defense against the cold
I recommends you keep them in 'brown open bags' to ripen

No.6 HONEY
A 1000 year old honey, will still be as fresh as the day it was harvested –honey a naturally preserved food. Putting honey into the fridge will increase the speed of the sugar crystallization which turns it into an almost dough-like form, making for a hard time to scoop out.
